Play Vanlexis with friends

The simplest way to play Vanlexis with friends is to open a room. Every room has a code, and whoever has the code can join. There is nothing to install: everyone plays in the browser.

The game is in Portuguese for now, so the menus and buttons you will see use the Portuguese names.

Opening a room

1. In the Jogar (Play) menu, pick Customizada (custom). It is the “room with a code, with rules of your own” option.
2. The room opens with a code at the top. Tap it to copy it and send it to your friends.
3. Whoever got the code opens Customizada too and types the code into the Tem um código? (“Got a code?”) field. They move over to your room.
4. When everyone is seated, whoever opened the room starts the match. The table has up to four seats.

What you can set in the room

Whoever opens the room sets the rules of the match:

• Turn time. From a relaxed game to a fast one.
• Number of rounds.
• Power cards. On or off.
• Theme. A theme you pick, or the game with no theme.

With no theme and no cards, you play the classic game: just words, board and points. It is a good fit for someone who has never played, because it keeps things simpler. Once everyone knows what they are doing, turn the theme and the cards on.

Short on people? Call the bots

In the free seats you can add bots of Fácil (easy), Médio (medium) or Difícil (hard) level to fill the table. The room also lets you start with just yourself, no opponents at all: that is solo mode.

Inviting from your friends list

If you already have friends in Vanlexis, you do not need to pass a code around. In the friends list, anyone who is online gets an Convidar (invite) button, and the invitation opens a room if you do not have one yet. A friend who is offline cannot be invited.

To add someone, search by name, by Name#1234 or by friend code. Your own code and a link to pass along sit on the same screen: whoever opens the link lands straight on your friend request.

What if nobody is around?

With no friends nearby, Normal mode puts you in a queue of two to four players. If the queue does not fill up soon, bots of a similar level fill the table.
